For well over 150 years, Wynns Hotel has enjoyed a reputation as one of Dublin's most hospitable hotels. This historic hotel was opened in 1845 by Ms. Phoebe Wynn, and was acquired by the Clarence Hotel company in 1897. Wynns was flattened in the Easter Rising of 1916, and rebuilding work was not complete until ten years later.

Since then, the hotel has played host to a number of well known personalities and dignitaries. The hotel was acquired by Mr. & Mrs. John Loftus in 1992, and to this day, they have maintained the high standard with which Wynns is synonymous.

The hotel offers a range of single, double and twin en suite rooms. Facilities offered in each room include remote control colour televisions, direct dial telephones, hairdryers, and linen pressing facilities.

The hotel also offers 24 hour room service, and a number of triple and family rooms are available for parties of three or more.

The hotel is home to the Peacock restaurant which serves quality Irish and European cuisine in an elegant setting. Also located in the hotel is the well known saints & Scholars bar, the ideal venue in which to unwind after a busy day and enjoy some of the famous Irish Craic and Ceól.

Wynns is situated on the corner of Lower Abbey Street and O'Connell Street, Dublin's main thoroughfare, and an excellent shopping street. The hotel is also located within five minutes walking distance of Grafton Street and Temple Bar, and just ten minutes from Stephens Green, The National Gallery, The Natural History Museum, Government Buildings, and within close proximity to all of Dublin's major theatres and many other visitor attractions. It is also located under five minutes stroll from the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC), and just ten minutes walk from Dublin's other business districts.
